Tromso’s climate is subarctic with cold winter temperatures and short summers. The winter months of December to February are cold with temperatures of 24 degrees Fahrenheit and snowfalls. From 21 November to 21 January, the sun gives way to the polar night, when visitors enjoy the phenomenon of blue twilight, as opposed to total darkness. Winter is a great time for snow activities. Getting around Tromsø, Norway

City buses, taxis and private rental cars will also help you make the most of getting around downtown and the surrounding areas. Rail services in the area are limited, so it is best to arrange other forms of transportation while in the city. It is possible to explore downtown on foot or bicycle but this is best left for the summer months.
